so we just got home from Download.. it was insane.for about 2 months leading up to it all we heard was "oh man you guys are gonna get murdered!" .. after all it is a metal festival and were not much of a metal band and historically crowds have thrown millions of bottles of piss etc. at the not-so-metal bands. it was enough to scare a few other bands right off the festival lol. needless to say we were a bit stressed. 55K people throwing things at you because they hate you causes a tiny bit of anxiety, oddly enough. but whatever, we seem to care about less and less these days. so we go out to start our set and Matthews bass rig goes out completely.. that's right 55K people, no BASS. Mateo's wireless, OUT.. his guitars, not tuned! it was crazy, as if we'd been sabotaged lol. half way threw the first song i was ready for a storm of urine. but it never really came and granted there was no bass the entire show and mateo couldnt really move around cuz he was attached to his rig... the show was amazing. we had our River People REPRESENTING and standing by us as always and i swear they helped us threw this show and turned around what could have been a nightmare. So a HUGE thanks to every single one of you who supports MADINA LAKE.. we consider you guys family and couldn't be more appreciative of what you do for us. so we will write the best record we can possibly write for you guys and as soon as we're done recording it we will personally bring it out to everyone of you around the world. in short, thank you times a million ... go have a kick ass dayMADINA LAKE

Madina Lake "Attics To Eden"

it's almost impossible to discuss a new record without sounding super cliche but i'll give it a shot! for the last 2 or 3 weeks we've been back home in Chicago trying to adjust to normal life. It's weird but the saving grace is that every day from 10am to about 7pm we've been writing like crazy. This is what we love more than anything and it's pouring out. The record is tentatively called "ATTICS TO EDEN". I believe we have 7 songs fully demod and 11 more to finish up over the next few months as we secured a Sept. 1st start date to record it. We picked David Bendeth to produce it because he's worked on some amazing bands and his records always sound incredible. Ive never been so excited in my life about these new songs. I should warn you .. this isn't going to sound like "From Them Through Us To You". It's part 2 of a 3 - record story and we've managed to tie it all together so far thematically but sonically it will be some of the heaviest, some of the weirdest and some of the more pop sounding songs to date. As we did on FTTUTY we've tuned out every single thing around us to write it. Honest music is our number 1 policy and we won't ever let anything from the outside world pervert that. We hope you are all amazing as usual and for those going to Download on Saturday, June 14th, we're taking some time off of writing to visit one of the coolest places on earth... and remember to party like it's the 80s again - oh and btw we'll be posting song titles and descriptions throughout the process starting shortly :)lovemadina lake"From Them Through Us To You" in stores NOW!!

Nós colhidos David Bendeth a produzir-lo, pois ele tem trabalhado com algumas bandas incríveis e sua escrita sempre som incrível. Ive nunca esteve tão animado na minha vida sobre essas novas canções. Devo adverti-lo .. este não vai soar como "From them,through us,to you". É uma parte 2 da 3 - registro história e nós temos que conseguiu amarrar todos juntos até agora tematicamente sonically mas ele vai ser alguns dos mais pesados, alguns dos weirdest e algumas das canções mais pop soar até à data. Tal como fizemos em FTTUTY temos sintonizado para fora cada única coisa que nos rodeia a escrevê-la. Honesto música número 1 é a nossa política e não vamos deixar que alguma vez alguma coisa com o mundo exterior que pervertido.
