so we just got home from Download.. it was insane.for about 2 months leading up to it all we heard was "oh man you guys are gonna get murdered!" .. after all it is a metal festival and were not much of a metal band and historically crowds have thrown millions of bottles of piss etc. at the not-so-metal bands. it was enough to scare a few other bands right off the festival lol. needless to say we were a bit stressed. 55K people throwing things at you because they hate you causes a tiny bit of anxiety, oddly enough. but whatever, we seem to care about less and less these days. so we go out to start our set and Matthews bass rig goes out completely.. that's right 55K people, no BASS. Mateo's wireless, OUT.. his guitars, not tuned! it was crazy, as if we'd been sabotaged lol. half way threw the first song i was ready for a storm of urine. but it never really came and granted there was no bass the entire show and mateo couldnt really move around cuz he was attached to his rig... the show was amazing. we had our River People REPRESENTING and standing by us as always and i swear they helped us threw this show and turned around what could have been a nightmare. So a HUGE thanks to every single one of you who supports MADINA LAKE.. we consider you guys family and couldn't be more appreciative of what you do for us. so we will write the best record we can possibly write for you guys and as soon as we're done recording it we will personally bring it out to everyone of you around the world. in short, thank you times a million ... go have a kick ass dayMADINA LAKE
